A habitation check is important to give you that piece of mind your vehicle is safe and working correctly, protecting your loved ones from hazards such as carbon monoxide poisoning and fire, identifying smaller issues before they develop into costly repairs and maintaining your warranty.

Habsafe comes to you and our professionally trained technicians will carry out a detailed and through habitation check of the living area, underbody and bodywork giving you a video and final report at the end of any issues or dangers that need to be addressed which helps when it comes to get your motorhome fixed (we do not carry out repairs ourselves but rest assured you will have a perfectly detailed report to give to your chosen mechanic if any issues arise).
What's Included?
Damp
We use our 3 stage, non invasive damp check process and specialist equipment to identify any issues so they can be addressed before they become a major issue.
Underbody
We will look over all the underslung pipes and tanks checking the condition along with checking all the corner steadies and folding steps for stability and operation.
Gas Systems
We look at the gas systems for system leakage, ventilation, appliance operation and any other dangerous issues.
Ventilation
We look at your vehicles windows, vents and roof lights ensuring they are all free from blockages and allow free flow of fresh air.
Electrical Systems
We ensure all the electrical systems are working well, checking for issues such as charging circuit operation, lighting and sockets, battery condition, fuses/circuit breakers and RCDs as well as lighting and dash warning lights.
Water Systems
We will check your motorhome's water systems to ensure its all working well. We check it’s bacteria and leak free, the tank, filter, pressure switch, taps, pumps, toilet and shower are all working correctly.
Fire Safety
Fire & safety is super important, we ensure to thoroughly test all fire safety measures such as smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers and fire blankets making sure they are all working well.
Bodywork
Another yet important check includes all body panels, paintwork depth, decals, locks, hinges, body attachments, rising roofs, windows, seals and furniture looking at the condition, operation and security.
Vehicle History
We also check your vehicle's history looking at timing belt history, previous habitation checks, vehicle recall checks, service history and so on. We also photograph and video your vehicle in the case your checks with us are for sale.
